Eclectic Eccentricity Jewellery is over 10 years old having started from humble beginnings on Lucy's kitchen table. Over the years we've grown with every new collection and have added new members to the team. We've realised we haven't ever shown you the personalities behind the brand, so to put that right we thought we'd answer some of those burning questions, so you can see who's who!
Lucy (EE Founder, plant carer and lover of a capsule wardrobe)
What's your favourite piece EE jewellery and why?
A 'Leo' Pendant from the Modern heirloom collection. I've worn mine for years and finally released it on the site last year. To me it represents courage & bravery, channelling my own inner lioness!
What is your favourite Pizza Topping?
Vegan Cheese & Artichokes. Artichokes on anything to be fair!
What's you most unusual talent?
My shin bone can predict the rain. True story.
Sam (Chief Commercial Officer & rampant chatterbox)
Tell us something people would never expect about you?
I'm terrified of rubber gloves, the yellow ones in particular ...eeek!
Favourite piece of EE Jewellery?
My Tribe necklace, I love having my family initials close by. My 6 year old loves to inspect the little celestial shapes, he's rather pleased he's a star!
What's your most unusual talent?
Being able to fit my whole fist into my mouth.
Lily (Customer care & chic personified)
Tell us something that people would never expect about you?
I was born in Finland (Helsinki), the secret country.
If you had a super power, what would it be?
To speak all languages!
Would you rather have skin that changes colour based on your emotions or tattoos appear all over your body depicting what you did yesterday?
Skin that changes colour as I'm not afraid to show my emotions to the world.
Sarah (Senior maker & very efficient baby maker)
Tell us something people would never expect about you?
I can sing and have been in a couple of bands. I've performed in front of an audience too, which was terrifying.
Where is your favourite place in the world?
I have a few, Seattle, Wells Next to the Sea and of course, my home.
Cat Lady or Dog Person?
I have both so couldn't possibly choose. I love them both for their different traits.
Emma (Brand Storyteller & can make anything out of cardboard)
Describe your personal style.
It changes day to day. I'm currently part goth, part Barbara from The Good Life if you can imagine allotment chic on a walk in the cemetery.
I sew a bit so I've been trying to make my own clothes to be a bit more sustainable and a bit less fast fashion.
Tell us something people would never expect about you?
I've drawn someone being cremated for a project at art school (see: goth), I'm not squeamish in the slightest so it was actually really interesting.
Favourite piece of EE Jewellery and why?
I'd say my current favourite would be Flint from the new Cinder collection. It's a beautiful piece that's totally wearable, and the labradorite is gorgeous with flashes of blue. I'm probably a bit biased as I spent a lot of time working on the collection with Lucy and Hannah, so it's one I've become super fond of.
Hannah (Content Creator, Photographer & a poet but she doesn't know it)
Favourite piece of EE Jewellery and why?
I adore the Cat in the Moon necklace, they are two of my loves put together in one so how could it not be my fav!
Describe your personal style?
We’ve had this conversation in the office and it’s been said I am a cross between grunge and chic, and slightly ’Stranger things’. I may have an identity issue.
Tell us something people would never expect about you?
I was part of a girl’s football team called Hempnall Hunnies.
Michelle (Studio Manager - who knits a mean jumper)
Cat lady or dog person?
I’m one of the anomalies on this planet that loves dogs and cats equally. Rare, I know! love how cats literally do whatever the heck they want and everything is on their terms. I also fully respect their cocky personalities! Where as dogs are just adorable & love you unconditionally. Basically, so long as it’s cute and covered in fluff, I’m down with most animals!
Do you believe that life exists beyond Earth?
Hmmm that’s a tough a one, I’m not sure if life exists beyond earth, but I’d like to think we’re not alone. Such a deep question but space is so incredibly huge that I can’t help but believe there’s something else out there, even if it is only some kind of tiny weird space insect!
What is your most unusual talent?
My most unusual talent used to be that I could get my leg over my head but even though I’m not quite that flexible these days, I could still get my foot in my mouth if I really wanted to! Obvs totally gross but the options there!
Amber (Senior maker & textile artiste)
Describe your personal style.
Wishing it was Autumn all year round - mom jeans and knitwear.
What is your favourite piece of EE jewellery?
Nomad, I love the rawness of the amethyst stone, the shapes and colours are so individual to each one.
If you could pick one song as your life's theme tune, what would it be?
Hakuna Matata from the Lion King, an obvious choice but it definitely speaks to me as a Disney fan!
So, that's us. Hopefully you've got a bit more insight into the weird world of Eclectic Eccentricity, and the merry band of geeks behind it.
Sending love, Team EE x
